Bubble is the most mature no-code app platform on the market: real database, real workflows, thousands of plugins, an enormous template ecosystem, and a community of agencies who can pick up your project and run with it. For founders shipping a serious web product without engineers, none of that has gone away. The strengths are still real and still deeper than any AI builder's.

Who should use it: founders who plan to live on the platform for years and will invest the time to learn it properly, agencies who already have Bubble expertise and a delivery pipeline, builders shipping complex multi-sided apps (marketplaces, member sites with intricate logic), and anyone whose project needs the long tail of plugins Bubble has and AI builders don't. Who should not: founders shipping a v1 to validate an idea — the AI builders will get you there in days instead of weeks. Anyone who wants ownable code (Bubble apps don't export). Solo operators who value 'I can describe what I want and ship it' more than 'I can configure exactly what I want over time'. The Bubble learning curve is real, and the AI builders have made it a harder trade than it used to be.

Why FutureFounder rates it this way: we used to rank Bubble higher. The category has changed. For most founders most of the time, an AI builder is now the better starting point — faster, cheaper to learn, with a cleaner path to handing the project to a developer later. Bubble remains the right answer for a specific kind of long-horizon, deep-customisation project. That kind is a smaller share of our reader base than it used to be.
